I was born and raised in Alberta, Canada and have lived in Alberta my entire life (except for three years as a teenager in Saskatchewan). In my late teens and early twenties I worked in the hospitality industry, then in 2000 I got a corporate job on the railroad and have been working on the railroad (all the live-long day...) Finally after 22 years of service on the railroad I handed in my badge, my computer, and my company phone and called it a day in order to pursue my dreams of a happier more fulfilling life.

Both my wife and I enjoy warm temperate climates, and found Costa Rica to be a remarkable country that we quickly fell in love with. We loved it so much that we purchased property and are building our dream home in the tropics.
